About Us!!!
We are an Unincorporated Non Profit Organization dedicated to the education and protection of the American Pitt Bull Terrier and its relatives.  We work with local and National  organizations to rescue and house ?Pitbulls? who have been abused, neglected or used in Game Fighting.  We can?t save them all but each one we save is one less pointless death.
Founded by Jennyfer Keohane in 2004, Brooklyn?s Home for Unwanted Bullies is quickly becoming a well-known haven for ?Pitbulls? .  As a student, Jennyfer found that there was too much abuse going on with this breed.  She had been rescuing Exotic animals for more than six years when she enrolled at Dallas County Community College as a Criminal Justice major.  In her first semester at D.C.C.C.D. she was required to do a paper for her Intro to Criminal Justice class on.  This paper ended up being her start to rescuing ?Pitbulls?.  As she investigated the world of Game Fighting, she realized what these dogs had been going through.  This became her call to action.  At the end of the semester she took a break from school and started Brooklyn?s Home for Unwanted Bullies.  That?s how we began.
(By the Way... She got an A+ on that report titled ?Dog Fighting and its links to the criminal element!?)

Our Mission:
We are dedicated to the Education of the public about ?Pitbulls?.  Our mission is to talk to every person.  We can about what good pets ?Pitbulls? make and how their reputation is from Bad Owners and Bad Breeders.  We also want to educate the community about the importance of Vaccinating, Spaying and Neutering your pets, it?s not that we are against breeding the ?Pitbull? it?s that we want to promote RESPONSIBLE breeding that is done for the furthering of this breed.  We truly love these animals and we can?t stand seeing them neglected.

To your right....
This is Kisses, She is the mami in the pic at the top of the page.  We rescued kisses from the poundin Ft. Worth TX while working under another rescue.  She had 11 puppies and they all ended up having distemper.  When the owner of the rescue wanted to just bring them back to the pound I decided I wanted to keep them all.  I lost 9 of them but today 2 of the babies are thriving and active dogs.  I ended up quitting the rescue and starting my own because I want to change the face of rescues.  My rescue is going to care about the animals and the humans BOTH rather than being an activist I want to help both sides out.  This way I can continue to help dogs like kisses and her pups rather than trying to make a profit.
